About me

Learn about me as a person and as a therapist

I have seen how powerfully transformative therapeutic work can be from my own experience in personal therapy and during my training. I have a deep desire to help others live full lives, be at ease and find meaning and connection.

As a therapist, I like to give a lot of space and encourage compassion and acceptance towards what emerges. For some of us, these can be lacking in our early experience. I like to work at a pace that feels comfortable to you. There is no rush. Let’s build trust and a sense of safety in the first instance.

I have a keen interest in spiritual and existential questions and welcome these themes into the therapy room. Life has shown me that these are some of the deepest and most affecting territories we can explore.

I’m also interested in neurodiversity and the variety of ways this shows up in people. I have seen how these differences can make life so difficult for some and, sadly, how normalised these difficulties can become. I want to welcome you, whatever shape you arrive in, without judgement or assumption. I have an open curiosity and non-pathologising approach to neurodiversity - I want to hear how life is for you.

I have been working face-to-face and online with clients for four years during which I have completed my training as a Core Process psychotherapist from the Karuna Institute in Bristol.

Prior to this I trained at Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling (BCPC), earning a foundation certificate. My path to becoming a therapist was inspired by my time with The Samaritans where I worked as a listening volunteer and supported their training programme.

In my free time I love to spend time outdoors, enjoy making different types of music and building things out of wood.
